Along with replacement sprays you can purchase more batteries. The life of the battery depends on the brand as well as the breed and temperament of the dog the collar is being used on. Many smaller dogs tend to bark more readily and for a longer duration. As the dog begins the training the collar unit will respond more frequently and emit its pulse or spray or sound. This will tend to drain the battery more quickly. In time however your dog will learn not to bark as much and the battery will have an extended life. It is a good idea to have a few spare batteries on hand though to avoid training set backs when you run out and the bark stops resulting in negative punishment.
